Storm Bird
![]() |
The spirit of thunder is depicted as a bird in Native American tradition. The image ‘Storm Bird’ takes inspiration from this idea. In the composition the storm bird is seen with opposing dragons. Dragons are often associated with both Western and Eastern symbolism. The dragon in Britain blends Celtic and Christian belief and is seen as a beast of desolation and death. In China the dragon is seen in a more positive light as a symbol of supreme spirituality. |
